Our Mission

The Disability Partnership aims to create a provincial network of organizations that serve persons with disabilities who are united in the goal of ensuring Nova Scotia is accessible to all.

To accomplish this goal, the organization brings together the disability community, private and public sector entities, fostering collaboration with a particular emphasis on four main priority areas: Education and Training, Communication, Capacity Building, and Informing Policy.

The Partnership acknowledges the crucial contributions of organizations that have played a pivotal role in reaching this stage.

As a facilitator of collaboration among its members, the Partnership does not diminish or disregard the efforts of partner organizations like the Disability Rights Coalition or the Nova Scotia League for Equal Opportunities.

Rather, the Disability Partnership serves as a foundational support for all disability service organizations in the province.

The primary purpose is to assist these organizations in working collectively to strengthen community unity and drive essential transformations, ensuring that individuals with First Voice perspectives can fully participate in a Nova Scotia free from barriers.
